These are the last couple of weeks to see our #America250! LEGO® display at the @wvplibrary Ambler Branch!

The display highlights events in 1774 and 1775 leading up to the American Revolution. Our story of the beginning of the revolution is depicted with five (5) scenes:
Powder Alarm
Battle at Lexington
Battle atConcord
Siege of Boston
Noble Artillery Train

The display will be available at the library during the month of January.

Today marked our 5th annual #WreathsAcrossAmerica wreath recycling event!

This year Washington’s Memorial Chapel (@wmchapel) remembered and honored Veterans by laying over 900 wreaths around the church grounds.

We were thrilled to have so many people and groups come out to help! A huge thank you to the volunteers from #DescendantsOfValleyForge (the WAA site sponsor), our #DAR Daughters (from the @towamencinpadar, Great Valley, Susquehanna County, and Valley Forge Chapters), @valleyforgeparkalliance, @wmchapel, @nationalcharityleagueinc, @lockheedmartin, Girl Scouts of Lower Providence, and Air Force and Navy Veterans. These volunteers helped gather, transport, disassemble, and recycle our wreaths.

And our appreciation goes out to @valleyforgefire for continuing to allow us to use the fire truck bays year after year - keeping us warm and out of the snow! The VFVFC Auxiliary also kept us going with some sweet treats and warm beverages!

Thanks again to all who continue to make this event possible.

✨2026✨ - the year of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence is here! On the national, state, and local levels celebrations will be everywhere this year.

The Daughters of the American Revolution encourage everyone to participate in a public reading of the Declaration of Independence and visit some of the incredible historical sites that continue to tell the stories of the events and people who helped win independence for our nation.

The Revolution Begins!

On November 1, the Valley Forge Chapter set up an #American250! LEGO® display at the Wissahickon Valley Public Library (@wvplibrary) to highlight events in 1774 and 1775 leading up to the American Revolution.

Our story of the beginning of the revolution is depicted with five (5) scenes:
🏠 Occupation of Boston
⏰ Powder Alarm
💥 Battle of Lexington and Concord
🏰 Siege of Boston
🚂 Noble Artillery Train

Relevant books were featured alongside each scene. The display will be available at the library during the month of November.

@bobbi.y.riley, America 250! Chair, designed and created the LEGO® buildings and scenes. @janczukc and @steph.baylitts helped with display design and installation.

#TBT to our Homecoming 250 event with the Veterans at the Whitehall Apartments in Spring City, PA on May 14th.

Homecoming 250 celebrates the 250th anniversaries of the founding of the United States Navy and the United States Marine Corps. We celebrated the milestone anniversaries with lunch and fun activities centered around the history of the two military branches.
